We are delighted to have hosted a specialist course delivering chair-based exercise this January, aimed at those who work in Lincolnshire with older people and who want to deliver exercise programmes at their place of work, residential home or day centre.

All eleven candidates successfully completed the course and were awarded the Level 2 Chair Based Instructors certificate accredited by the Vocational Training Charitable Trust.

This year, the course instructor was Jesse Callaghan from www.Activ4Lyfe.co.uk She said “Everyone who attended the course met the challenges with great enthusiasm. It was wonderful how everyone shared their individual skills and knowledge with the group and was so supportive of each other. We live in a world with an increasing ageing population and therefore giving people the ability to teach these skills to an older audience can really help to break down barriers of isolation, whilst promoting health and wellbeing. How fantastic that we now have another eleven qualified teachers who, through their enthusiasm and new skills can provide safe, fun and effective exercise to older and disabled adults which ultimately, will benefit them in so many ways.”
